Andrew C. McDannold
Attorney

Andrew has broad experience creating wills, trusts, medical directives, and other planning documents for clients of all ages and economic situations.  He represents clients in probate litigation, guardianship proceedings, and a wide variety of Elder Law matters.  Also, Andrew fights on behalf of disabled veterans to ensure they receive the VA benefits to which they are entitled, and he has successfully advocated before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

A Tampa native, Andrew grew up building model airplanes and dreamed of becoming a pilot.  However, the Air Force needed personnel with technical degrees, so he studied computer engineering and instead became a flight test engineer.  During his 25-year military career Andrew designed and led the first-ever operational test of the nation’s primary electronic warfare aircraft, managed software development for the B-2 "stealth" bomber, served two tours of duty in Iraq as a military advisor, created logistics plans for U.S. Central Command, and commanded a squadron responsible for managing aircraft maintenance.
When the time came to prepare for a second career, Andrew was drawn to the legal profession because he’s a planner and a problem solver, and he loves to help people – particularly seniors.  Elder Law is the perfect expression of his character, because it enables Andrew to connect with his clients in a very personal way.  By taking the time to develop a relationship with the client and understand her story, Andrew is able to create a legal solution that’s tailored to achieve her unique goals.
